Even though we are based in Charlotte, we love traveling around the state and getting to shoot in fun new places like the American Tobacco Campus in Durham! Claire and Austin live and work in the Raleigh-Durham area, but Claire grew up in Charlotte. They wanted a little of both places represented in their photos so, since they chose a wedding venue in Charlotte, they chose the unique industrial American Tobacco Campus for their engagement session.

As you can see from the photos, they brought their doggos along with them. Baron, the one with the bandana, is Claire’s dog that she brought to the relationship. Daisy, the puppy with the flower on her collar was adopted just DAYS before this session. Claire was actually out of town when Austin pulled the trigger, so Claire and Daisy met for the first time the day before we met up with them for their photos! Side note, if you want to bring your dogs with you to your session, here are our pro-tips!

After a quick outfit change and passing off the dogs, we wandered around as the sun was setting and took some really cool creative photos both at the Tobacco Campus and the abandoned car dealership next door. Afterwards, we all (yes, the dogs too) went out to nearby Ponysaurus Brewing Company for pizza and beers. It was so natural to hang out with Claire, Austin, and pups and we are SO excited for their wedding next November at Sugar Creek Farm!
