Zach reached out a few months in advance to ask if we might help him with a surprise proposal to his long-time girlfriend, Raquel. Jess has actually known Zach since he was a baby. Zach is the younger brother of one of Jess’s best friends. We were honored to be asked to be a part of such a special moment for these two!

Prior to the surprise proposal at the UNCC Botanical Gardens, Zach had another one of his brothers plant a personalized book at the proposal site. The book was short diary entries for every day that Zach and Raquel were together. It was everything from “we cleaned the house” to “we celebrated our first anniversary”.

Raquel had her suspicions leading up to the proposal, but Zach threw her off the scent so that she would still be surprised. But that also meant that she didn’t paint her nails, so after the big moment, she told us that she was embarrassed by her fingers and not to get any close up shots of her hands. And that’s when Zach pulls out a bottle of her favorite nail polish from his pocket. He literally thought of everything! What an incredible guy. Raquel is one lucky lady and we are so excited for her and Zach in this next stage of their life together!
