There’s never such a thing as too smiley and Jackie and Jared were nothing but smiles during their engagement session at the Latta Nature Preserve. Generally known for it’s hiking trails and paddling launch areas, Latta Nature Preserve is also a great location for engagement photos! Fun fact: some of the photos of us on our website were actually taken there! (We actually try to do a session every other year or so to remind ourselves what it’s like on the other side of the camera).

We like this one particular area where the lake, a trail, and open fields are all within a small walkable area. What that means is that we can get a lot of variety of photos in a short period of time! One of our favorite images from this set is the lakeside reflection, but we also love all the silly ones with big smiles.

Jackie and Jared really wanted their engagement session to have fall vibes because their wedding was in early December. Unfortunately for them (especially Jared in his sweater), Charlotte decided to be SUPER warm that day. But Jared played it off like he was totally comfortable. What a good sport!

After spending this photo session at Latta Nature Preserve with them, we could not wait to hang out again! We’ve got big plans for board game nights and brewery visits and are super pumped to photograph their wedding next fall at Hawkesdene in Andrews, NC.
