It all started with a date at a Mexican restaurant here in Charlotte… and then last summer, Matt proposed in front of the Lincoln Memorial (epic much?)! While the couple now resides in DC, they wanted to celebrate their marriage where it all began. When they told us that they’d chosen Rural Hill as their reception venue (it was our wedding venue too!), we couldn’t have been more excited! Usually our wedding locations are brand new to us each time, so it was pretty cool to be back in a space with so many personal memories while also having the advantage of being well acquainted with some of the best photography spots on the property.

The wedding day itself went extraordinarily smoothly and we have to commend Jennifer and Matt’s families for being the most efficient good listeners during the family formals. Seriously, they were pros! Other highlights? Jennifer’s gorgeous veil, perfect skies, a glow stick exit, and the handle of Fireball that made its rounds on the dance floor at the end of the night. We had a blast partying with the couple and their crew and wish them many years of happy marriage!
