One of the most unique things we’ve ever seen at a wedding was the LED party robot that joined the dancefloor at Erik and Andrew’s Charlotte wedding reception! They hired local talent, Dakota Fox Entertainment for two acts during their wedding day: The Mirror Lady aerial act during cocktail hour and then the LED Robot during open dancefloor.

Getting Ready Together

Throwing tradition out the window, Erik and Andrew decided to get ready for their wedding day together. Not only did it mean they could spend more time together on their wedding day, but it was also just more practical. They had a killer suite at the Holiday Inn Express South End where they helped each other get ready and kept each other calm. They also wrote letters to each other and read them aloud before anyone else arrived, giving them an opportunity to be emotional in private before the energy of the day picked up. Before heading over to the wedding venue, Erik and Andrew were joined by their friends and family for some socialization, gift exchanges, and fun group pics.

Ceremony with a View

Erik and Andrew love a good skyline view (check out their skyline engagement session!), so that probably had a lot to do with choosing The Terrace at Cedar Hill for their wedding ceremony and reception. The Panther’s Stadium and Charlotte skyline is hard to miss when looking out the front windows of the ceremony site. Then, on the other side of the venue, we got the chance to take some dreamy sunset photos over the western neighborhoods of Charlotte.

Dancing with an LED Party Robot

After a romantic sunset session, Erik and Andrew’s crew were ready to party! Our grooms warned us that they had a fun crowd and the LED Party Robot was a surprise to everyone at the Charlotte wedding (except us, of course). And people went wild when they saw the stilted robot with flashing LED lights step onto the dancefloor. The energy stayed high all evening long and at one point, guests created an LED light wand tunnel for our grooms and others to dance through.
