Jenny and Dustin’s wedding at The Atrium by Ligon Flynn blew us out of the water (get it? Because the venue was by the water?)! We first met Jenny because our friend (and Bridesmaid in this wedding) Tara brought her as her date to our own wedding! The two have been friends since their college days, and when Jenny got engaged, we were thrilled that she reached out to us.

The day started out at the Hotel Ballast where both Jenny and Dustin got ready. Jenny and her girls were singing along to Disney songs while Dustin and his guys chatted about video games – perfect. The nice thing about Hotel Ballast is that it’s located on the Wilmington Riverwalk, where the couple did their emotional first look and exchanged gifts.

We then went to their venue, The Atrium, and waited until their ceremony (and took a few shots in between!). Their ceremony was absolutely beautiful, filled with emotion. Dustin’s brother played guitar for the ceremony, and then at the reception, his band rocked the house. We’re not kidding when we say that this was one of the best live wedding bands we’ve heard, ever!

Jenny and Dustin also had a humanitarian aspect to their wedding – they wanted to create as much of a zero-waste celebration as possible. Everything from the plates down to the flowers were composted, and paper products were limited. We’ve never seen anything like that before, but we were so thrilled to be part of a wedding with a mission! We had such a blast celebrating with Jenny and Dustin in Wilmington, and hope you enjoy the images!
