Charlotte is booming, with over 31 million visitors visiting the city last year – many staying overnight. For newlyweds, they get to enjoy the lively city, beautiful wedding venues and romantic honeymoon suites in Charlotte, NC.
As Charlotte wedding photographers, we’ve heard a ton about Honeymoon Suites from our clients and how much it was a perfect way to treat yourself as part of the wedding day!
We’re going to share some of the locations that we found to be most romantic and that the newlyweds we’ve worked with rave about.
We’re going to leave general pricing information for suites at each hotel, but please note that cheaper rooms are often available and exact prices will vary based on the time of year.
If you’re searching for boutique hotels in Charlotte NC, The Ivey’s is the top choice. As reviewers state, it “redefines luxury.” Offering 47 rooms right in the center of the city, you’ll enter with valet parking and can head straight to the bar and lounge for a drink.
The hotel includes bespoke furniture, Italian bedding and a 400-year-old, reclaimed French oak floors inside.
Multiple suite options are available, with housekeeping, handcrafted furniture and all of the luxuries you could want. The Balcony Suite costs $589 a night and has balconies overlooking North Tryon Street.
The Ivey’s remains the top-rated hotel in all of Charlotte, thanks to its exceptional amenities, friendly staff and even pet-friendly options (if you want to bring your best four-legged friend with you to celebrate life as a couple).
Grand Bohemian Autograph Collection remains one of the most romantic hotels in Charlotte, NC. You’ll enter the grand entryway and take in the immaculate decor, stunning artwork and breathtaking details.
Multiple suite options offer stunning views of Charlotte, but one of the favorites among newlyweds is the Park Corner Suite.
You might miss some of the luxuries of The Ivey’s, but you’ll be within walking distance of museums and restaurants. There’s even a rooftop bar and a wonderful Argentenian restaurant on the ground floor. Staff are friendly, rooms are clean and you’ll be treated like royalty from the moment you enter the parking lot.
If you want an even larger suite for your wedding, there are suites with multiple bedrooms available.
Kimpton Tryon Park sits in the heart of Uptown, and you can even host your wedding here. Queen Charlotte envisioned the hotel with its 217 rooms. The Queen, who is the city’s namesake, has the perfect specialty suite for your wedding.
The “King Presidential Suite” is a staggering 1,291 square feet and features views of the Ballpark, Carrera marble bathrooms, a wet bar, a dining room, a king bed, Frette linens and unbeatable views.

Suite options are available from 760 to 1,300 square feet.
One of the finest hotels in town (and possibly haunted, if you believe the stories!), The Dunhill is part of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. You’ll spend your honeymoon in a historic landmark. The Penthouse Suite is one of the most stunning examples of luxury and maintains its original marble floor.
Your suite, located on the 10th floor of the hotel, will offer double balconies overlooking the city, a wet bar, and a triple-sheeted King bed.
Guests are a short, five-minute walk away from all of the luxuries of the city, from exceptional restaurants to museums and theaters.
Stunning stairways greet you the moment you enter The Ballantyne. Upscale doesn’t even begin to describe the amenities and decor of the hotel. The Presidential Suite overlooks Stream Park and has some of the most stunning bathrooms we’ve seen in a hotel.
During the warmer months, you can relax by the indoor or outdoor pool, drink cocktails or enjoy a day in the spa. Shuttles are even available to bring you to local recreation areas or restaurants.
You can also request the romance package for any of the other room options available that include rose petal turn down, sparkling wine, chocolate-covered strawberries and other perks.
