Lia and Andrew’s Terrace At Cedar Hill wedding was an EPIC way for us to start our 2019 wedding season. There was a threat of rain for the entire day, and we were just waiting for the sky’s to open up. Lia got ready in the GORGEOUS Kimpton Tryon Park in Uptown with a view of the ballpark otuside, and then headed on to do a first look with Andrew right in front of Sophia’s Lounge. Their first look was both playful and emotional, and miraculously, it never rained. Other than for about 3 minutes of drizzle, the weather held off for them.

We ALWAYS suggest to couples to incorporate as much personality into their wedding day as possible, and Lia and Andrew took this idea and RAN with it. For their ceremony, they had a chuppah made from a handmade patchwork quilt carried in by their wedding party. They had the BEST horah that we’ve ever seen (and one of our favorite images Jess has ever captured). But the REAL fun was when Andrew’s New Orleans Style brass band, Blow House Brass Band, burst into the room and took over from the DJ. The dance floor was filled with his friends from all around the country playing big band music. It was loud, boisterous, and the most fun we’ve ever had!

And FORGET about a sparkler exit for these two. While the band and guests were lining up downstairs, Lia and Andrew did one of our favorite things: A private last dance. When they were ready, Andrew’s band played him out into the streets where the whole wedding party burst into CLUTCH unannounced and took over. It was really one of the most fun parties we’ve been to so far, and so unique. Enjoy the images – we hope that you can feel the fun and excitement throughout the day!
