Kelly and Ryan always intended to have their wedding at Terrace at Cedar Hill in Charlotte, but not necessarily with us photographing. That being said, we’re SO thankful that they found us and trusted us to document their wedding, on one of the most important days of their lives.

We met up with Kelly and Ryan at Heist Barrel Arts to chat about their wedding plans pretty early on. Even though we didn’t shoot their engagement session, we clicked SO well with these two and felt like we had known them for such a long time.

Fahrenheit Restaurant

These two had their wedding in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, but they absolutely rocked it. They embraced everything as well as they could, including having custom masks made for them (as you can see from the GORGEOUS bridal portrait of Kelly). Ryan and his guys got ready at their house, while Kelly and girls got ready in the Skye Condos, which Fahrenheit Restaurant is a part of. For their first look and family formals, Kelly and Ryan went to the top of Fahrenheit for some AMAZING city views, before they took a trolley over to Terrace at Cedar Hill.

Wedding Photos in Uptown Charlotte

For their wedding portraits, Kelly and Ryan chose to go to Uptown Charlotte. They got a few pictures in front of Truist Field, and then a few more in Romare Bearden park, and even one of our favorite creative portraits inside the trolley!

Terrace at Cendar Hill – A Best Impressions Venue

The Terrace at Cedar Hill is actually owned by Best Impressions Catering, which also owns a few other awesome venues like Byron’s South End. Because of this, not only do you get a beautiful venue, but all food is guaranteed to be 100% delicious. As a vendor, sometimes we get stuck with crappy vendor meals, but we know that Best Impressions will always take care of us AND our clients. You will NEVER go wrong picking one of their venues. You can have your entire wedding AND reception here, but we’ve also seen a ton of weddings where they just have the reception at Terrace at Cedar Hill, and it works great!
