Chelsea and Jordan’s hashtag for themselves is #teamfun so we knew right away that they were our kind of people. They love to travel (got engaged in Bali!), enjoy going to DJ shows, and let us know right away that they were also cat people (the kitties names are Luke and Leia!). Their original wedding date was supposed to be in 2020, so they postponed, then eloped, rescheduled, and rescheduled again! They had to reschedule their wedding and change their venue multiple times due to COVID, and lucky for us, this third attempt brought them back to their hometown of Charlotte to have their wedding in the spring at Whitehead Manor.

Bride and Groom Suite at Whitehead Manor

Whitehead Manor has two buildings connected by an open air breezeway. If you’ve seen our blog post of Brittany and Bryan, we featured it pretty extensively for their entrances. In each building there’s a suite for getting ready that both Chelsea and Jordan used. They were nothing but excited on the day of, surrounded by friends and family to help them get ready for the day. They also chose to do a super sweet first look that turned a bit silly, but gosh how perfect for their personalities. We LOVE that they didn’t feel like they had to act a certain way.

An Outdoor Wedding Ceremony in Spring at Whitehead Manor

Spring in Charlotte, North Carolina can be a gamble – it could be gorgeous and 70 degrees or it could be torrentially downpouring. With a little bit of luck and planning though, you wont need to worry about weather, just make sure that you always have backups! THANKFULLY Chelsea and Jordan didn’t need a backup, as they had perfect weather for their ceremony on the lawn of Whitehead Manor. For their portraits, we missed sunset because of the amount of trees on the property, but that’s nothing that we couldn’t fix with a little magic 😉

Wedding Reception at Whitehead Manor

Chelsea and Jordan had SUCH a fun reception, filled with EDM, a DJ, confetti cannons, glowsticks… you name it! We had SO much fun being out there on the dance floor with them and their friends – and I think they had fun too 😉 This was one for the ages!
