Split Second Sound is one of the biggest and best DJs in town. They have an incredible team of skilled people, and we’ve yet to shoot a wedding with them where they didn’t keep people out on the floor all night! Vinny and Diane, the husband and wife team behind Split Second are so dedicated to not only their clients, but helping everybody else out in the wedding industry. And honestly, they’re just all around great people and a total power couple… People that Kim and I really look up to as an example of how to run a killer business with your partner.

Every year, to give back to everybody who recommends them, they throw a big party to celebrate all sorts of wedding vendors: Caterers, photographers, planners, bakers, make-up artists…you name it! We had never attended before, but this year, both Vinny and Diane reached out to us and asked us to photograph their party this year. What an honor! This year was EXTRA special – it’s Split Second’s 20th anniversary as well as their 10th VAP, and to celebrate, they threw a Coachella themed party, cleverly nicknamed ‘Splitchella’!.

Y’all. This party was unlike anything we’ve ever been to. Live bands, dancers and performances, DJ battles, a photobooth, a live makeup artist, TONS of great food and drinks provided by Lenny Boy Brewing… it was an incredible way to kick off the year. Hopefully you guys can feel the energy through these photos!
