When Tate reached out to us, we were honored to learn that she used to be in the wedding photography business too! That is a huge compliment when another photographer admires your work, especially when it means they trust you enough to capture their own wedding day!!!

We met up with Tate, Ryan, and their freaking adorable 4 month old daughter Maeve and we were smitten with this little family. Because they’d already done a lot of the “life stuff” (lived together, had a baby, etc), they weren’t looking to go all out for their wedding day, which is totally respectable! They said they mainly just wanted some fun, creative shots of the two of them in addition to basic coverage of the events of the day. Can do!

Being that Tate has seen the behind the scenes of many weddings, she had this on-lock! She booked a killer suite at the Ivey’s for getting ready because she knew it would get good light for photos (YAS!) and she had her entire day planned out well in advance. Let me put it this way… we sent her our month-out questionnaire and she returned it to us fully FILLED OUT in less than 45 minutes. That’s one heck of a record!

As expected, the wedding day was seamless. We arrived just at the very end of getting ready, had plenty of time scheduled for couple’s portraits, and stayed through the beginning of the reception. The Levine Museum proved to be the perfect venue for this simple and romantic affair and we are so glad they chose us to be a part of it.
