Before we had even met up with Kathy and Noel for the first time, Kathy gave us advanced warning: “My fiancé doesn’t love getting his picture taken, but I do, so will be a fun challenge to get him into it!”. Well, we were up for the challenge! We met them at Legion Brewing in Plaza Midwood (which is actually where they met!) for a drink and learned all about their dog Putter, love of golf, and their plans for their perfect wedding day.

Fast forward to their September wedding day, and in typical Charlotte fashion, it’s unseasonably hot… like 90+ degrees hot. Definitely not ideal for guys in full tuxes in open sun on a golf course… But we stayed inside and found shade as much as we could. Noel and his groomsmen chose to beat the heat with little handheld fans during the ceremony! Then after it cooled down a little, we took the newlyweds back outside for some golden hour portraits and despite Noel’s request for just “4 minutes” of photos (;P), we got some KILLER shots of them on the golf course. As if things couldn’t get any better, we returned to their rockin’ reception with live music from The Swinging Richards and had a blast dancing with their family and friends.

When we had Kathy and Noel over a few weeks later to see their photos for the first time and design a custom wedding album, they were blown away. They were giddy with excitement and couldn’t stop smiling! Even Noel. So what do you think? Did we change his mind about getting his photo taken?
