Fairy Tale Castle McCulloch Wedding | Christine and Bryan

Newly married wedding portrait using ring of fire technique

Purpose and Magic. I think both of these words describe what happened at Christine and Bryan’s wedding – from the intimate church ceremony in the presence of close friends and family to a gorgeous glass-walled reception in the woods next to a castle. Christine and Bryan were all about the fairytale vibe from the moment we met with them, and everything they chose about their wedding reflected that. They couldn’t have chosen a better venue than Castle McCulloch for their wedding.

If you haven’t seen the engagement shoot we had with these two before their wedding at Castle McCulloch, make sure to check that out first! You can seriously tell the love that these two have for each other and just how sweet they are around one another. But what’s more than that, is how they share that love with everyone around them.

Getting Ready for a Winston Salem Church Wedding

Typically when couples have a religious ceremony, there’s no first look, which is PERFECTLY fine – you just need to move some things around and allow for time for photos! Bryan got ready with his groomsmen (including his dad!) in a hotel, while Christine got ready with her sister and mother in a room at the church. When Bryan arrived, he had a letter ready for Christine to read, and Christine had a letter for Bryan as well! This is always such a touching moment, especially for wedding photographers, because it’s so emotional . To top things off, right before the ceremony, Christine had a private first look with her dad, before she gave gifts to both of her parents to express gratitude. We LOVE seeing our couples give back to those who have supported them most during their lives.

Castle McCulloch Wedding Reception

After their ceremony, we took some portraits around the grounds of the church which had a really pretty fountain, but after, we traveled to the grounds of Castle McCulloch where the real magic was. The leaves were starting to fall and change colors which was absolutely amazing. The architecture was ornate and unique. And Christine and Bryan just looked so dang happy there, which made for the most magical images. We cannot thank them enough for trusting us to make all of her fairy tale imagery come to life as well as it did!
