Foundation for the Carolinas Wedding | Natalia and Dré

bride and groom Foundation for the Carolinas Wedding

We’ll never stop talking about how much fun this wedding was! Natalia and Dré’s Foundation for the Carolinas wedding was the perfect mix of elegant uptown vibes and a wild party. From their heartfelt ceremony to the Hora Loca, Natalia and Dré wanted their day to be about celebrating with the people they love. It was very important to them to have the little moments captured: the guests intermingling, the getting ready tasks, and the emotions that cropped up throughout the day.

The 220 North Tryon wedding venue at Foundation for the Carolinas was a great venue to capture all of these moments. The venue blends art, city views, and a warm, intimate vibe. Between the modern galleries, the vertical garden, and the rooftop terrace, there’s no shortage of incredible backdrops for photos! Natalia and Dré held both their ceremony and reception in the Kearney Solarium/Silverman Pavilion, which boasts floor to ceiling views of uptown Charlotte. They then classed it up for their cocktail hour downstairs in the Luski Gallery. This venue is both classy and fun, which was perfect for this particular wedding. And speaking of classy and fun… check out their engagement session at Marshall Park!

A Romantic First Look in the Vertical Garden

After getting ready in separate spaces, Natalia and Dré shared their first look in the venue’s stunning vertical garden, one of the signature spaces at Foundation for the Carolinas. Surrounded by lush greenery and the hum of the city below, the moment was calm, intimate, and beautifully emotional. We captured a few small moments in the “in-between” during getting ready and before the ceremony and those are honestly some of our favorite parts of the day. You can just feel the emotion and the anticipation.

The Celebration That Never Stopped

Before the ceremony even started, this Foundation for the Carolinas wedding felt like a family reunion. As guests arrived, there were hugs, group pictures, and so many sweet interactions all happening in the same room. Once everyone found their seat, Natalia and Dré said their vows with the sun streaming in the floor to ceiling windows. The mingling and reuniting continued downstairs in the art gallery during cocktail hour, but real party started when everyone returned back upstairs to find the room flipped and ready for dancing! The evening began with some emotional toasts and first dances, but it wasn’t long until the lights turned down low and the dancefloor was packed. The late night hora loca brought next-level energy with glow sticks, light-up sunglasses, and everyone losing themselves in the fun.
