We thought it was cool when we shot Brittany and Bryan’s engagement photos exactly 365 days from their wedding day. As it turns out however, April 2020 was not a good time for the big wedding they had in mind. Not wanting to wait, Brittany and Bryan had a quiet backyard ceremony on their original wedding date in the presence of just a few family members and close friends. Then they conveniently rescheduled their big celebration to 364 days later, which turned into a one year vow renewal ceremony followed by the big party they always wanted! As non-traditional as this wedding at Whitehead Manor was, it was a hell of a good time.
Whitehead Manor is the perfect location for a hybrid indoor/outdoor wedding. The actual ceremony itself is typically held outside in front of a super old tree, but for the reception, you get to dance on their outdoor patio under the stars, even if it’s raining – they have a clear tent that makes this possible.
Venue Coordinator: Amanda McCleery | Catering: Catering by Tara | Florist: Willow Floral Boutique | Cake and Cupcakes: Suarez Bakery | DJ: Split Second Sound | Videographer: Carlisle Films | Officiant: Pastor Michael Collins | Hair and Makeup: Wink Inspired Beauty | Wedding Dress: Rebecca Ingram purchased from New York Bride and Groom | Suits: Men’s Warehouse | Bridesmaids’ Dresses: David’s Bridal
We end up creating personal connections with a lot of vendors that we work with, so imagine our surprise when one of the kickass videographers from A Thousand Cranes Productions was actually one of Brittany’s bridesmaids! Small world, huh? Whitehead Manor has a separate house for the guys to get ready in, so we got to hang out with both Brittany and Bryan by just walking a few steps away!
Just look at this freaking gorgeous set-up! We really lucked out with the weather, it was just the right amount of sunny and overcast to have insanely good lighting. Which makes these ceremony pictures even more beautiful. Brittany and Bryan chose to do a wine ceremony during their wedding, where they mixed glasses of red and white and then both drank from them. To their surprise, they really liked the blend. We unfortunately never got to verify that 😉
Whitehead Manor is fully ready for whatever the weather comes their way with this huge outdoor clear tent. Even with sunny weather, the tent adds a nice ambiance to the whole night. After first dances and a few heartfelt speeches, we went out around the side of the house to catch the last bit of an incredible sunset.
This is where things got fun, and the energy carried through to their exit. Even though Split Second Sound provided the music, Brittany’s dad had a drum set set up in the corner that he took over about halfway through to provide some live entertainment for us all! After a long night of dancing, Brittany and Bryan left Whitehead Manor via a bubble exit to end the night.
