When Megan and Mickey chose to have their engagement session in Uptown Charlotte, we didn’t really think much of it. I mean, a lot of newly engaged couples in Charlotte choose to have their engagement session in Uptown because it’s such a great way to show the rest of the world where you’re from. However, what we didn’t know is that Megan’s father is actually a big part of why Uptown Charlotte looks the way it does.
We started their session in Fourth Ward Park (where there was actually another couple with another photographer taking their engagement photos…great minds think alike?). We love to start there because even in the midst of uptown, Fourth Ward Park provides some really nice greenery. From there, we wandered throughout the city finding little pockets of light and cool backgrounds until we ended the night in Romare Bearden Park.
If you scroll to the bottom, you can see the famous “jukebox building” in the background. Wanna know who the architect behind that building was? I’ll give you three guesses.
But if you didn’t guess Megan’s dad, well, you haven’t been reading. And that’s okay, this blog is more for the pictures anyways 😉 Enjoy!
